
- What is the Feldenkrais® Manhattan Teacher Training Program?
The Feldenkrais® Manhattan Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive, in-person training designed to guide participants through the principles, techniques, and applications of the Feldenkrais Method®. Spanning four years, the program provides hands-on experience and expert guidance to help you develop the skills necessary to become a certified Feldenkrais practitioner and to achieve Feldenkrais certification.
- Who can enroll in this training program?
This Feldenkrais Method training is open to anyone interested in personal growth, deepening their understanding of the Feldenkrais Method. Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced practitioner, or a professional from fields such as dance, theater, sports, physical therapy, Pilates, yoga, martial arts, mental health, or education, you will find abundant learning opportunities. No prior experience with the Feldenkrais Method is required.
- When and where does the training take place?
The program will begin in January 2025 and is held in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. It will run in segments over four years, with in-person sessions taking place throughout each year.
- Is there an introductory workshop, and how can I attend?

- Who are the trainers for this program?
Our experienced teaching team includes Sheryl Field, Carol Kress, Anastasi Siotas, and David Zemach Bersin. Each trainer brings a wealth of knowledge, years of practice, and a deep understanding of the Feldenkrais Method, ensuring you receive expert guidance throughout the training.
6. What will I learn during the program?
Participants will explore the core principles of the Feldenkrais Method, gain experience in Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lessons, and develop the skills needed to guide Functional Integration (FI) sessions. The program offers a blend of theoretical understanding, practical experience, and opportunities for personal growth.
7. How long is the training program?
The training spans approximately four years, from January 2025 to 2028, allowing for a gradual, in-depth learning experience that builds on each segment.
8. Will I receive certification upon completion?
Yes, upon successfully completing the training, you will be eligible to become a certified Feldenkrais practitioner, recognized by the Feldenkrais Guild of North America. This certification allows you to teach ATM lessons and offer FI sessions professionally.
9. What is the schedule like, and how often do we meet?
The program’s schedule is primarily divided into 4 day ‘weekend’ segments held throughout each year. There will be two longer 10 day scheduled for each training year as well. The total number of days per year is 40 and the total number of days of training is 160. The specific schedule, including exact dates and times can be found on our website and will also be provided upon enrollment. The structure allows for immersive learning while maintaining a flexibility that will accommodate participants’ various commitments.
10. How much does the training cost, and are there payment options available?
The total cost and payment options will be shared upon inquiry or during the introductory workshop. We aim to provide flexible payment plans to support participants throughout their training journey.
11. Can I attend part of the training online or is it entirely in person?
This training program is offered entirely in person, as the hands-on experience and direct feedback from trainers are integral to learning and mastering the Feldenkrais Method.
