The Feldenkrais Method®

What is the Feldenkrais Method?

The Feldenkrais Method® is an innovative approach to movement and body awareness. Developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, this method aims to improve physical function and overall well-being by enhancing self-awareness through movement. The practice is based on principles of biomechanics, neuroscience, and the body’s natural ability to learn and adapt.

Key components of the Feldenkrais Method

Awareness Through Movement® (ATM)

These are guided movement lessons designed to help you discover new ways of moving with greater ease and efficiency. Each lesson typically focuses on a specific functional movement pattern and encourages mindful exploration.

Functional Integration® (FI)

This is a personalized, hands-on approach where a trained Feldenkrais practitioner gently guides your movements, helping you to recognize and release habitual patterns of tension and inefficiency.

Benefits of the Feldenkrais Method

Benefits of the Feldenkrais Method® include improved posture, flexibility, coordination, and stress reduction. It is beneficial for individuals of all ages and abilities, from those recovering from injury to athletes and performers looking to enhance their performance.

Feldenkrais Training
