Global Reach

They serve as trainers and practitioners in programs across the USA, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Leadership

Our team includes founders of key Feldenkrais institutions and contributors to major publications in the field.

Sheryl Field

Sheryl trained in Israel and the United States with Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, the founder of the Feldenkrais® Method. She is one of the few Feldenkrais practitioners in the world who has extended the method to improve the functioning of infants and children with motor disorders and developmental difficulties.

She is the founder and director of the non-profits “Field Center for Children’s Integrated Development” and “Feldenkrais Manhattan.” Both organizations focus on the applications of the Feldenkrais® Method in human development across the lifespan.

Sheryl has assisted in 10 complete Feldenkrais Teacher Training Programs in the New York/New Jersey area and teaches specialized post-graduate advanced training for Feldenkrais practitioners who wish to deepen their understanding of the relationship between ontogenetic and phylogenetic development.

Carol Kress

Carol is a highly experienced Feldenkrais Practitioner with nearly 30 years of practice. As a Trainer, she brings to her teaching a desire for excellence and a wish to communicate the essence of the Feldenkrais® Method. In her private practice, she works with both adults and children with a variety of difficulties, including chronic pain, neurological problems, and performing artists. Her work is informed by long-term involvement in equestrian arts, yoga, a passion for Argentine Tango, and her practice of the martial art Aikido, for which she holds a 4th-degree black belt.

Carol first began to study the Feldenkrais Method in 1985 and completed her Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 1993. She teaches in programs worldwide. She facilitated the publication of Volume One of an in-depth biography of Dr. Feldenkrais, written by her late husband, Trainer Mark Reese. Work on Volume Two is in process. Carol lives in Marin County, California.

Anastasi Siotas

Anastasi’s approach to the Feldenkrais® Method has been well-received as an assistant trainer in programs throughout the USA, Canada, Australia, China, Japan, Austria, Greece, and the Netherlands. In Manhattan, he has taught in eight complete four-year Feldenkrais training programs. Anastasi trained in movement analysis at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in NYC and has been on their faculty, teaching Kinesthetic Anatomy, since 2008. His multifaceted knowledge is a product of years dedicated to study, research, and teaching in diverse fields—ranging from marine plant cell biology to modern dance and biotensegrity. For over 20 years, he has been a student and assistant teacher to the renowned NY Choreographer and Anatomist, Irene Dowd. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the use of the Feldenkrais® Method as the singular most practical tool for one’s inquiry into self-improvement.
